Advanced Dental Technology
For Faster, Safer, and More Accurate Care
Dentistry is a dynamic field with exciting new innovations occurring all the time. At William F. Gioia DDS Microscope Enhanced Dentistry, we use the latest technology to provide our patients with the best possible care.
We’re here to promote your overall health and wellbeing. Dr. Gioia and our professional staff use advanced technology to provide treatment that’s faster and more effective for you, improving your results and shortening your recovery time.
There are a number of things happening in your smile that can’t be detected with the naked eye. Microscope enhanced dentistry allows Dr. Gioia to take a much closer look at your teeth when providing endodontic, periodontic, and other restorative services.
Using a microscope allows Dr. Gioia to zoom in on the patient’s teeth, gums, and other oral structures. Dr. Gioia also uses microscope-enhanced dentistry while performing intricate procedures such as root canal therapy. This will speed up your recovery time and make the process much more pleasant for you.
Laser-Assisted Cavity Detection
A cavity is a hollow space in the patient’s tooth caused by a bacterial infection known as tooth decay. The earlier we spot a cavity, the easier it is to treat it effectively.
Patients who take good care of their teeth, eat a balanced diet full of essential vitamins and minerals, and drink fluoridated water tend to have healthy teeth with strong enamel. However, sometimes this makes it difficult for dentists to detect cavities as they’re beginning to form.
With laser-assisted cavity detection, we can spot cavities early on, making them easier to treat. In fact, if we detect it early enough, we might not have to use a filling at all.
Digital Imaging – For Enhanced Implant Care
Our advanced digital imaging technology allows Dr. Gioia to streamline the dental implant process. For example, instead of taking messy physical impressions of a patient’s teeth, we simply use our digital imaging equipment. In addition to being more convenient for you, it’s also a lot more accurate than using an old-fashioned physical model of your mouth.
Using our digital scanner with CBCT “cone-beam” technology, Dr. Gioia takes 3D images of your teeth and uses this information to determine the ideal location for placing your dental implant.
For patients who are interested in treatments designed to enhance your smile such as dental implants, Invisalign®, or veneers, we can use our imaging technology to show you how your new smile will look on you before your treatment even begins.
